Real Colorado will join USL League Two and the USL W League beginning in the 2026 season, marking a significant expansion of the club’s player pathway. U.S. Soccer will shift from birth-year placement to a grade-aligned system beginning Fall 2026, with the new determination date moving from January 1 to August 1. We know this change brings questions, and we want to reassure our families that Real Colorado will have a clear, thoughtful plan in place well before Spring 2026.
Our priority is simple: every player should have the best chance to grow, succeed, and continue loving the game. As we move toward grade-based teams, we will balance player development needs with individual circumstances to support each athlete through the transition.
