Junior Academy South

Real Colorado Junior Academy is a program for U9 and U10 players that encourages them to compete in a competitive environment.  Players are selected and placed on teams by ability, performance, and mentality. We believe this program is a fun atmosphere for development to occur.

 

Fall 2024 tryout information for 2015 and 2016 birth years in the Junior Academy are posted below. If you are a 2014, you’re ready for our competitive program, which begins at U11. Please check out our U11 pre tryout camp to get ready!!

Junior Academy Tryouts

Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Junior Academy Tryouts for 2015’s

These tryouts are open to all players in the 2015 age group.   Tryouts will be run by our Junior Academy Directors and all JA team coaches.   Please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the tryout start time so we can make sure we get all players checked in.  All players who wish to be placed on a JA team must register for tryouts.  If you have a conflict and are unable to attend tryouts, please email your Junior Academy Director. 

Location:  Heritage Park West Turf Fields

Date:  Friday, May 17 
In case of bad weather make-up date will be Saturday, May 18 same time’s same location.

Times: 

  • 2015 Girls 4:30pm-6:00pm

  • 2015 Boys 6:30pm-8:00pm

Registration Deadline:  May 15 at noon.

Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Junior Academy Tryouts for 2016’s

These tryouts are open to all players in the 2016 age group. Junior Academy is a more focused and select program in which players are placed on tiered teams.  This three-day tryout will give players the opportunity to work with our Directors, Staff Coaches and team coaches in a positive learning environment.   We recommend that players attend all three days of tryouts. All players who wish to be placed on a JA team must register for tryouts.   If you have a conflict and are unable to attend tryouts, please email your Junior Academy Director.

Dates: May 13, 14, 15

Days:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Thursday, May 16 is the make-up day or call back day if needed.

Times:  Boys and Girls 4:45pm-6:00pm

Location:  Redstone Park

Fee:  $100

2017 Junior Academy Program – Rising U8’s

We are excited to announce that we will be offering the Junior Academy Program to our rising U8 players.  This program is open to all players in the 2017 age group.

Kick Arounds For 2017 Birth Year Players

We would like to invite all 2017 players to come and join our coaching staff and directors for a couple of fun days of soccer.  These kick arounds are open to all 2017 players.  Please note that although there is no fee for these kick-arounds, we do need parents to register so we know how many players will be attending.   See you on the pitch!

Junior Academy Tryouts - 2017 (Rising U8’s)birth year players

Four-week program for players who are interested in being placed on a Junior Academy team for Fall 2024.  Our Junior Academy program is designed to promote learning and love of the game while preparing players who are interested in advancing into our competitive programs as they get older.   This program will be run by our directors and paid coaching staff.  We will be hosting parent meetings throughout the summer to answer all your questions.  All players will receive a Real Colorado training shirt.

Dates and Locations:

  • Mondays at Heritage Park West Turf Field

    • June 3, 10, 17, 24

    • Girls 5:30pm-6:30pm

    • Boys 6:30pm-7:30pm

  •  Wednesday’s at Marcy Park Lower Field

    • June 5, 12, 19, 26

    • Boys and Girls 8:30am-9:30am

Junior Academy Structure:

  • Each team is provided a Real Colorado paid coach

  • 3 trainings per week

  • 8 game league season in the Colorado Soccer Association Intermediate League

  • 2 tournaments per season

  • Players have the opportunities to move up or down throughout the year between seasons to best match their development growth.

  • Rosters can vary from team to team, but are usually 10-12 players to allow more playing time and promote upward player movement.

  • Real has teamed up with Children’s Hospital Colorado to promote the health and wellness of Real Colorado families. Discover all that Children’s Hospital Colorado offers, from a certified athletic trainer, to injury resources and weather guidelines. Find out more.

Costs: (Fall 2024/Spring 2025)

  • Tentatively set at $975 seasonally/$1950 annually for Academy, National, Athletico and Olympic teams

  • Tentatively set at $875 seasonally/$1750 annually for Red, White, Gold, Silver, etc… teams

  • Payment plans are an option and registration
