US Soccer Development Academy Girls

As an original member of the US Soccer Development Academy in both boys and girls, Real Colorado continues to grow and positively impact the development process of our players.  With famous alumni like Mallory Pugh, Jaelene Hinkle and Janine Beckie leading the way with their respective Women’s National teams and the US Soccer Youth Women’s National teams being positively impacted in almost every birth year by our players, both the now and the future are bright at Real Colorado.

Mission

The Academy Program focuses on positively impacting everyday club environments to assist in maximizing youth player development across the country. The Academy values individual development of elite players over winning trophies and titles. The Academy sets the standard for elite environments for youth soccer clubs nationwide and is a part of U.S. Soccer’s global leadership position in youth soccer that will impact thousands of players.

Player Identification

Player Identification – players are strongly encouraged to reach out directly to Real Colorado if there is interest in our Development Academy program.

  • Current players from clubs outside of ECNL clubs can request a trial at any time.
  • Current players from clubs inside the ECNL may contact us at anytime, but cannot train, practice or play with a Real Colorado team until after May 1st, 2017.

With the fall of 2017 being the first season of play for Girls Development Academy, Real Colorado will be hosting player placement trials after Memorial Day weekend as a last option for player placement.

Teams

The DA features teams from the top youth clubs from around the country. Each DA team plays approximately 20-24 regular season games to ensure all games are meaningful. Games are also played according to FIFA’s Laws of the Game and officiated by a pool of the nation’s top young referees in order to prepare players for the next level of competition. National Team Scouts regularly attend Academy games, so players are evaluated over the course of the season and in their natural positions allowing for better player assessment.

Coming in fall 2017/spring 2018, Real Colorado is excited to be 1 of only 2 clubs in Colorado with full participation in the US Soccer Development Academy. Listed below and the tentative coaching assignments.
